Privacy Policy

waeccbt.com is built to know as little about you as possible. This page explains, in plain language, what the site does and does not collect, what happens when you use Snap & Solve, and how advertising cookies work. Effective date: 31 August 2026.

Who we are

waeccbt.com is an independent study website for WAEC/WASSCE candidates, run from Nigeria. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the West African Examinations Council. You can reach us at any time via the contact page.

What we collect: essentially nothing

No accounts. There is no registration or login, and we never ask for your name, phone number, email address or examination number to use the site.

Your practice data stays on your device. Scores, attempted papers, study plans and profiles are saved in your own browser's local storage. They are never transmitted to us. Clearing your browser data, or switching devices, means that history is gone — it is yours alone in every sense.

Offline copy. The site stores a copy of its own pages on your device so it works without data. That cache holds the site's files, not information about you.

Snap & Solve photos

When you use Snap & Solve, the photo you submit is shrunk on your phone and sent, through a small relay we operate on Cloudflare, to Google's AI service (Gemini) to be solved. waeccbt.com does not store your photos or the solutions. Google processes the image under its own terms and privacy policy, and content sent to free-tier AI services may be used by Google to improve its products. Please do not photograph anything personal — a question on a page is all the tool needs.

What happens automatically

Server and security logs. Like virtually every website, our hosting provider and Cloudflare (which protects the site from attacks and speeds it up) record standard technical details of each visit — such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and time of visit — in routine logs used for security and fault-finding. These are not used to identify you.

Advertising and cookies

To keep the site free, waeccbt.com may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Where ads are shown:

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at www.aboutads.info.

Apart from advertising, the site itself sets no tracking cookies. You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings; the practice tests, syllabus and guides work exactly the same with cookies disabled.

Analytics

We do not currently run analytics scripts that track individual visitors. If we add a privacy-respecting analytics tool in future, this page will be updated to say so before it is switched on.

Links and sharing

Share buttons open WhatsApp, Facebook, X or Telegram in a new window; nothing is sent to those services unless you complete the share yourself. External links lead to sites with their own privacy practices.

Children and students under 18

Most of our visitors are secondary-school students, many under 18. That is exactly why the site collects no personal information, needs no account and asks for nothing about you. We never knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information — for example in an email — write to us and we will delete it.

Clear your browser's site data to erase every score and plan stored on your device.
Disable cookies or opt out of personalised ads using the links above.
Use Snap & Solve only with photos you are comfortable sending to an AI service.

Changes to this policy

If we change what the site collects, we will update this page and the effective date at the top before the change takes effect.
