What this site is, who is behind the questions, how to reach us — and, because you should never have to guess, exactly what happens to your data (very little).

waeccbt.com exists because of a gap every WASSCE candidate knows: the syllabus is everywhere, past questions are everywhere, but the actual experience of the exam — forty to sixty questions, a running clock, no help, marked without mercy — is nowhere until the day itself. This site puts that experience on your phone, free, so the first time you sit a timed WAEC-format paper is not the time that counts.

What the site does

• Timed practice papers in real WAEC objective format — 90 seconds a question, auto-submitted when time runs out, marked the second you finish, with the working shown for every question you miss.
• Two modes: coach mode marks each question as you go and is for learning; exam mode holds everything back until you submit and is for proving it.
• Topic-level diagnosis: every score breaks down by syllabus topic, so a paper ends with a short list of named weaknesses instead of a single unhelpful number.
• The full syllabus for every WASSCE subject, mapped from the official documents, with the paper structure and marks for each.
• Offline use: after your first visit the site stores itself on your device, so you can keep practising with no data.

Where the questions come from

Every question on this site is original. Questions are written to match the format, difficulty, topic coverage and paper structure of the official syllabus for each subject, and each one carries a worked explanation. We do not reproduce WAEC’s past or live examination papers, and we do not sell questions of any kind — more on that in the disclaimer below.

Who it is for

Candidates preparing for WASSCE across the five WAEC member countries — Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, The Gambia and Liberia — whether you are a school candidate in SS3, a private (GCE) candidate resitting a subject, or a teacher pointing a class at free timed practice. The site is built to run on low-cost phones over slow connections, because that is where most candidates actually study.

Found a wrong answer, a question that reads badly, or a syllabus detail that has changed? Tell us — corrections are the most useful mail we get. The same address works for suggestions, school enquiries and anything else:

When reporting a question, include the subject, the question text (or a screenshot) and what you believe the correct answer is — that is enough for us to trace and fix it. We read everything; replies can take a few days during exam season.

Please note we are not WAEC and cannot help with registration problems, result issues, certificate collection or centre matters — those must go through WAEC’s official channels.

Disclaimer

waeccbt.com is an independent study website. It is not owned by, operated by, affiliated with, or endorsed by the West African Examinations Council. “WAEC” and “WASSCE” are names and marks of the West African Examinations Council and are used on this site only to describe the examination that our practice materials help you prepare for.

• Original materials. The practice questions here are written by us to match the official syllabus and paper format. They are not leaked papers, not reproductions of past questions, and not predictions of what will appear in any examination.
• No “expo.” We do not sell, share or possess examination questions, and nobody legitimate does. Anyone offering live WAEC questions for money is defrauding you, and engaging with them can cost you your result and more. Report such offers to WAEC.
• Practice scores are practice scores. A grade estimate on this site reflects your performance on our questions under our conditions. It is a preparation tool, not a prediction or guarantee of any official result.
• Information changes. Examination dates, registration windows, fees, paper structures and prescribed texts are set by WAEC and can change at any time. We keep the site current with the official syllabus documents, but always confirm time-sensitive details on WAEC’s official website or through your school before acting on them.
• External links point to sites we do not control and are provided for convenience, not as an endorsement of their content.
• Errors. Despite careful checking, a bank of thousands of questions can contain mistakes. If you find one, tell us and we will correct it. We accept no liability for decisions taken on the basis of material on this site.

Privacy — read the full privacy policy

This site is built to know as little about you as possible. In plain language:

What we collect: essentially nothing

• No accounts. There is no registration, no login, and we never ask for your name, phone number, email address or examination number to use the site.
• Your practice data stays on your device. Scores, attempted papers, study plans and profiles are saved in your own browser’s local storage. They are never transmitted to us — we could not look at your scores if we wanted to. Clearing your browser data, or using another device, means that history is gone, so it is yours alone in every sense.
• Offline copy. The site stores a copy of itself on your device so it works without data. That cache holds the site’s own files, not information about you.

What happens automatically

• Server logs. Like virtually every website, the server that hosts this site keeps standard access logs (the IP address, pages requested, and time of each visit) for security and to keep the site running. These are routine hosting records, not a profile of you.
• Fonts. The site’s typefaces load from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests those files from Google’s servers and Google sees that request, as it does across much of the web. Google describes this in the Google Fonts privacy FAQ.

What we do not do

• No advertising, and no advertising trackers.
• No selling, renting or sharing of data — there is nothing to sell.
• No marketing messages: we could not message you even if we wished to, because we do not have your contact details.

Young users

Most of our visitors are secondary-school students, and the site is designed accordingly: it works without submitting any personal information at all, which is the strongest protection we can offer.
